Slim custom trays and a prescribed gel, worn at home over a few weeks. You control the pace and can top up in future.
A premium system for people who want the deepest and most even result we can achieve.
For one tooth that has darkened after an injury or root canal treatment. The tooth is lightened from the inside.
Whitening starts with a check that your teeth and gums are healthy, because gel should never be used over untreated decay or inflamed gums. Our hygienist, Sarah Waters, often carries out whitening once a dentist has prescribed it.
It is also usually the first step in any larger cosmetic plan. Teeth are whitened first, then veneers, bonding or new fillings are matched to the lighter shade.
We will be honest about what whitening can and cannot do. It lifts the colour of natural teeth well. It does not change the shape of teeth, and it will not lighten existing crowns or fillings.
These are guide fees. You will have exact costs in writing before any treatment begins.
Bellevue Dental is a private practice and we welcome patients with private dental insurance. Treatment plans from £1,000 can be spread with finance through our partner Tabeo, subject to status. Check your eligibility with Tabeo. The full list of fees is on our fees page.
Home whitening with custom trays is £795 and premium Enlighten whitening is £995. Internal whitening for a single dark tooth is from £850. A smile consultation is free.
Yes, when it is prescribed by a dentist after an examination. In the UK whitening may only be provided by a dentist, or by a dental hygienist or therapist working to a dentist’s prescription, and only for adults aged 18 and over.
Results last well when teeth are looked after, but they are not permanent. Tea, coffee, red wine and smoking bring stains back sooner. Because your trays are made to fit you, a short top-up at home is simple.
Some people notice sensitivity while they are whitening. It is temporary and usually settles within a few days of finishing. We can adjust how often you wear your trays and recommend a toothpaste to help.
No. Whitening gel lightens natural tooth only. If you have crowns, fillings or veneers at the front, we plan for that before you start, so everything matches at the end.
