A smile makeover is planned as a whole, not tooth by tooth. We design around your own face, start with the gentlest treatments that will work, and show you the likely result before anything is done.

How it works

From first idea to finished smile

Listen

We start with what you see in the mirror and what you would like to change, and what you would rather keep.

Design

Photographs and a 3D iTero™ scan let us plan new shapes on your own face with Digital Smile Design.

Try it

A trial smile is placed over your own teeth, so you can see and feel the change before deciding.

Treat in order

Teeth are usually straightened and whitened first, then bonding or veneers are matched to the new position and shade.

Less is often more

The best makeovers are often the least invasive. Moving teeth with Invisalign® treatment, then whitening and a little composite bonding, can change a smile completely while keeping your natural teeth intact.

When more is needed, veneers or crowns can change shape and colour more fully. We will always explain why we suggest each step, what it involves and what the alternatives are.

Smile makeovers are planned by Dr Amit Patel, known to his patients as the Smile Architect, and Dr Adam White. Dr Henry Wong, our Specialist Orthodontist, joins the plan when teeth need straightening first.

Smile makeovers: your questions

What is a smile makeover?+

A smile makeover is a planned combination of treatments that changes how your smile looks as a whole. It might include whitening, straightening with Invisalign® treatment, composite bonding, veneers or crowns, carried out in the right order so the result looks natural.

How much does a smile makeover cost?+

It depends entirely on what is needed. Whitening is £795, composite bonded veneers are from £495 per tooth, porcelain veneers are from £1,250 per tooth and Invisalign® treatment is from £4,500. A smile consultation is free, and you will have a written plan with exact costs before you decide.

Can I see the result before I commit?+

Yes. With Digital Smile Design we plan the new smile on photographs and scans of your own face, and a trial smile lets you see and feel the proposed shapes in your own mouth before any tooth is prepared.

Who plans smile makeovers at Bellevue Dental?+

Dr Amit Patel, known to his patients as the Smile Architect, and Dr Adam White, our Clinical Director, plan and carry out smile makeovers. When teeth need straightening first, Dr Henry Wong, our Specialist Orthodontist, joins the plan.

How long does a smile makeover take?+

A makeover based on whitening and bonding can be finished in a few weeks. One that starts with straightening takes longer, because the teeth are moved first. We give you a timeline with your plan.

Can I spread the cost?+

Yes. Treatment plans from £1,000 can be spread with finance through our partner Tabeo, subject to status.
